Slice the onion

Heat the oil in the pan. Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion slices. Fry for about 2min until translucent.

Add the sauerkraut and Bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper. Pure in the water and put on the lid. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15min.

Heat the oil in the pan. Leave the heat on medium high and add the sausages. Fry for about 3min until golden brown on all sides.

Cut the bread in half. Spread the bottom half with the mustard. Place the sauerkraut and sausages on top.
