Ingredients

Lemon Cupcake
½ cupunsalted butter
softened
¾ cupgranulated sugar
1 Tbsplemon zest
½ Tbspvanilla
2eggs
room temp
½ cupbuttermilk
room temp
¼ cuplemon juice
150gall-purpose flour
1 ½ tspbaking powder
¼ tspbaking soda
½ teaspoonsalt
Lavender Frosting
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 300f.
Step 2
Mix the sugar and lemon zest, and rub between yours fingers to release the citrus flavor. Add the softened butter and beat until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the lemon juice, vanilla, egg, and buttermilk to combine. Then add the flour, leavening ingredients, and salt. Fold until just combined. Do not over mix.
Step 4
Pour batter into a cupcake pan and bake for 30min, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Step 5
In the meantime, make your frosting. Cream your cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, culinary lavender, and purple food coloring.
Step 6
Add your heavy cream and beat until frosting is light and stable. Transfer to a piping bag.
Step 7
Once your cupcakes have cooled down, pipe the lavender frosting on top and garnish with more culinary lavender. Enjoy!
