Instructions
Step 1
In a large soup pot, heat butter over a medium heat.
Step 2
Add in onion, garlic, celery, carrots, salt and pepper. Saute, stirring frequently, until veggeis are tender, roughly 5-7 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in chicken broth cabbage potatoes, & rutabaga.
Step 4
Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to simmer covered for 20-25 minutes, or until potatoes, and rutabaga tender. (Rutabaga will turn dark orange when cooked)
Step 5
Uncover and stir in ham pieces.
Step 6
Simmer for 10 minutes to heat ham throughout.
Step 7
Serve hot & enjoy)
