Instructions
Step 1
Cut and prep the pork, onions and garlic.
Step 2
In a large pot on medium high heat, sautee the onions and garlic until the onions become slightly translucent. Add the brown sugar and mix. Once it has become a syrup, let cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
After the 2 minutes are up, add the pork, bay leaves, peppercorns, Dr. Pepper, soy sauce, and vinegar. Bring it to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, and cover and cook for 40 minutes.
Step 4
Once the 40 minutes are up, the sauce should have reduced, and look more syrupy. Add the liver spread and mix until dissolved. Taste to check if it needs more salt. Add if needed.
Step 5
Serve warm over white rice and enjoy.
