This is classic Japanese street food from Nagata-ku in Kobe that's super satisfying and easy to prepare. I lived in the area for several years and made and ate a lot of it! This is my own recipe.

Step 1
Cook the meat in a pan, season it as you like

Add cabbage and cook till a little toasty
Step 3
Add rice and jostle with spatula till all separated and coated with oil

Chop up the yakisoba into pieces and add it
Step 5
Add some of the wet stuff you have chosen to damp the noodles (dashi stock ideal) and let them soften a little

Stir fry it for a minute
Step 7
Spiral the yakisoba sauce over it and stir till it's nice and dark with sauce
Step 8
Stir fry till it looks good
Step 9
In bowls top with a pinch of benishoga and a swirl of kewpie
