Instructions
Step 1
Wash & peel potatoes and slice them. Toss them freely into slow cooker.
Step 2
Add salt and pepper to taste and toss them all around to mix evenly. You may have to layer the potatoes to keep them evenly distributed (optional).
Step 3
Melt the butter in a pot on your stove set to medium. When butter is melted, add flour and keep stirring until butter and flour mixes and thickens. Add sliced onions and garlic and keep whisking and mixing as you slowly add the milk. Add cheese and keep mixing because it's going to get pretty thick pretty quick.
Step 4
Now just add this delicious cheesy mixture to your slow cooker and layered potatoes. Pour it on top of the potatoes. Don't fully mix, but you may want to tip the slow cooker back and forth or give it a good shake to get that yummy cheese to go all the way to the bottom.
Step 5
Cook it on the high setting for about 3 hours. You'll know it's done when the potatoes are tender and can easily be poked with a fork.
