Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180Β°C. Line a 20cm cake pan with baking paper and set aside.
Step 2
In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter, oil, eggs, and sugar until light and fluffy (2 mins).
Step 3
Mix in orange zest, almond extract and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Turn the speed of the mixer to low, and mix in plain flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Step 5
Fold in sliced strawberries.
Step 6
Pour batter into prepared cake pan and top with slivered almonds. Bake for 40 minutes, or until cake is lightly brown on top and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 7
Allow the cake to cool slightly before sprinkling with icing sugar and slicing into triangles.
