Step 1
Preheat oven at 200°C

Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt
Step 3
Add the butter and rub the mixture between your fingertips

Stir in the sugars
Step 5
Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk
Step 6
Mix well until the mixture becomes a beautiful dough

Roll out the dough until it’s about 3cm thick
Step 8
Cut out the scones with a cookie cutter (6cm diameter)
Step 9
Transfers the scones to a baking sheet lined with baking parchment
Step 10
Brush each scone with beaten egg yolk
Step 11
Bake at 200°C for 15 to 20min
Step 12
Transfer to a wire rack and let the scones cool for 10min
