Step 1
Add butter, tomatoes, onions, salt and pepper to a large pot. Cook for approximately 8 minutes
Step 2
Add chicken stock, garlic and fresh basil, stir and cook for 20 minutes.
Step 3
For a smooth textured soup use an immersion blender and blend until it's your desired texture OR if your prefer a chunky soup simply leave your soup as is.
Step 4
Next stir in your heavy cream.
Step 5
Lastly, you can add parmesan cheese for additional flavor and a few fresh basil leaves for garnish.
