Instructions
Step 1
1. Boil the kettle and fill a large saucepan with the boiling water. Place on a medium heat and bring back up to the boil, then add a pinch of salt and the spaghetti. Cook for the time stated on the packet.
Step 2
2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan over a low heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds or so until you can smell it starting to cook, but don't let it brown. Add the lemon juice, zest and wine, and stir gently to combine.
Step 3
3. Next, add the prawns and cook for a few minutes until they warm through.
Step 4
4. When the spaghetti is cooked, drain it very thoroughly in a colander. Ensure all the water has been removed from the saucepan, then tip the drained spaghetti back into the pan.
Step 5
5. Pour over the garlic, prawns and butter from the frying pan and return the saucepan to the heat.
Step 6
6. Stir the sauce through the pasta and ensure the spaghetti is well coated in sauce. Season to taste then leave to sit for 5 minutes in the pan with the lid on.
Step 7
7. Serve with some grated Parmesan on top, if you fancy.
