Seafood Cream Casserole

Seafood cream casserole. Can be done with shrimp only or a sea food mix. Best with a mixture of calamari and shrimp. Or with a small bag of seafood just for flavour. Served with White Rice. Can add pasta or potatoes in it. Will mention it in the steps but not ingredients.

Instructions

Step 1
Turn on oven at 180 degrees C
Step 2
Put the sliced potatoes or pasta in boiling water and leave ALMOST cooked.

White Sauce

Step 3
Make a roux in a small pot by melting butter and adding flour and mixing well until slightly cooked
Step 4
Add cup of cold milk gradually while mixing until it becomes smooth
Step 5
Add cream slowly and keep on mixing
Step 6
Add nutmeg, paprika, salt, and pepper. keep it under salted.

Main Dish

Step 7
In a medium sized pot, heat up some oil.
Step 8
Put onion in there and slightly cook for a minute.
Step 9
Add the diced pepper and slightly cook
Step 10
Put seafood mixture in and half of the minced garlic and mix everything together.
Step 11
Add a pinch of salt, a pinch of garlic, and a pinch of cumin.
Step 12
Mix around until seafood starts to cook then add the chopped tomatoes and cover the pot, leaving it to cook for a few minutes.
Step 13
Leave uncovered to boil off some of the water. Then add the rest of the garlic, the chopped dill, and the almost cooked potatoes or pasta. Mix everything together and let them get to know each other. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes

Pour in the white sauce into the pot and mix everything together
Step 15
Pour the pot into a casserole and put it in the oven until it is boiling and starts to thicken up
Step 16
Add cheese on top and put it under the broiler until the cheese melts and browns a bit.
