Ingredients
9 servings
Brownie
1 cupbrowned butter
¾ cupcocoa powder
¼ cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
½ Tbspespresso powder
1 Tbspvanilla extract
3eggs
room temp
1 ½ cupsugar
1 ½ cupsflour
1 tspsalt
8 ozsemi-sweet chocolate chunks
Ganache
Instructions
Step 1
Mix to combine your browned butter, cocoa powder, coffee, vanilla, salt, and the 1/4 cup chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Pop in the microwave for a minute to let the chocolate bloom. Allow to cool down slightly.
Step 2
Whisk your eggs and sugar. Add in the chocolate mixture, followed by the flour. Fold in your chocolate chunks. Transfer to a parchment-lined 8x8 baking pan, and bake at 350f for 30min. Let it cool for at least 30min before cutting into it.
Step 3
While the brownie cools, make your ganache. Finely chop your chocolate (don’t use chips) and put the heavy cream in a pot to simmer over medium-low heat. Pour the hot heavy cream over the chocolate, add butter and espresso powder, and let it sit for a couple of minutes before mixing well. You should have a silky smooth chocolate ganache.
Step 4
Spread the ganache while it’s still warm on top of the cooled brownie and sprinkle flaky sea salt on top. Let it cool for another 10minutes, and enjoy!
