Japanese Milk Bread with Tangzhong

Instructions

Step 1
Heat up tangzhong ingredients on stove until thickened
Step 2
In mixing bowl, add tangzhong then all the dough ingredients in the order as listed.
Step 3
Knead for 5 minutes, or until pulled away from mixing bowl
Step 4
Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size
Step 5
Cut into fourths and roll into balls. Roll each ball out, fold 2 outer edges into the middle, then roll vertically. Finally, roll dough in a spiral and place into oiled pan
Step 6
Let rise an hour and a half, or until doubled in size
Step 7
Brush with egg wash and bake at 350 for 30 minutes
