Banana Cake with Brown Butter Frosting

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375° and spray a 9x13 metal pan with non-stick cooking spray
Step 2
In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, cream together the sugar and butter until combined
Step 3
Add in the egg, sour cream, bananas and vanilla. mix until combined
Step 4
Add in the flower, baking soda, salt and mix until combined
Step 5
Using a spatula or spoon, fold in the chopped walnuts
Step 6
Spread better into the sprayed baking pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Step 7
Heat a saucepan on medium heat and add the butter. Simmer until butter starts to turn light brown. Remove from the heat and whisk in the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk
Step 8
Pour frosting over warm cake and spread with spatula and sprinkle more chopped walnuts on top
