Almond Sugar Cookies-no chill & no spread

I always double this recipe & I make it dairy free for my family. Feel free to sub non-dairy yogurt for sour cream or normal yogurt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350

Cream butter and sugar

Add egg yolks, vanilla, and yogurt (I usually have 1 cup of the flour ready to go in case it starts to look funny/curdling) and mix until just combined

Add salt, baking powder and remaining flour

It will look funny and it might look too dry, that’s ok. Keep working it until it make a nice dough

Roll dough out between two sheets of parchment paper. Use desired cookie cutters

Bake until just barely golden brown on bottom about 12 min, longer if cookies are thick. Just keep an eye on them!
Step 8
They are basic by themselves but really shine with icing
