Marry Me Chicken Recipe: This One-Pan Chicken Recipe May Get You a Proposal

4 steps
Prep:5minCook:35min
Marry Me Chicken is a family-pleasing recipe for busy weeknights, but could just as easily be served to dinner guests (or that special someone). If you do get the proposal, you won't have many dishes to wash. This is a one-pan chicken recipe, which is always a good thing. Serve this skillet chicken recipe with rice or potatoes to soak up the creamy sauce. You could use boneless chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts. Some people like to add crispy bacon, too. We certainly won't object!

Instructions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet or ovenproof skillet. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and cook in the hot oil until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove to a plate.
Step 2
Add the garlic to the skillet and cook 30 seconds. Add the thyme, oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, broth and cream. Cook, stirring, until it simmers and begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Stir. Put the chicken back into the skillet
Step 4
Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven until chicken is cooked through, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add crumbled bacon as optional garnish.
