Simple Caramel Sauce

This is just a basic caramel sauce that can be used for many desserts. You can also add a teaspoon and a half of kosher salt for a salted caramel.

Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan at medium high heat cook the sugar for 4-5 minutes until it get to that nice amber colour, stirring or moving the pan as needed.
Step 2
Remove from the heat and add the butter, stirring until well combined.
Step 3
3. Return to the heat and add the cream, bring to a boil while stirring. The longer it cools the thicker it gets.
