Step 1
Grate the carrots and keep aside

Grate the orange and kee the zest aside. Then squeeze the orange and keep the juice aside.

Break the eggs into a large bowl and work with a mixer. Add slowly both regular sugar and vanilla sugar and keep mixing until it is melted.

Pour the oil and mix again.

Add the orange juice and mix.

Add the flour now, adding a little at a the time. Add the orange zests too. Keep mixing until is all incorporated.

Add now a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon at your own taste and mix.

Now that the mixture is done, add the grated carrots and mix with a spatula.

The last thing to add is the baking powder. Add it and mix gently with a spatula from the bottom to the top.

Preheat the oven at 180Β°C. Coat the baking pan (24cm diameter) with butter (melted) and flour it too.

Ease down the mixture of your cake in the baking pan and bake it in the oven for 45/55 minutes depending on your oven.
