Step 1
Preheat oven to 375
Step 2
Combine flour, cornmeal, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, lemon peel( optional). Set aside

Combine buttermilk, eggs, butter. Add to flour and stir until combined. Fold in blueberries.
Step 4
Divide the batter into muffin cups (paper or silicon liners)
Step 5
Combine cinnamon and 1 Tbsp sugar and sprinkle over top of muffins
Step 6
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
