Instructions
Step 1
Soak beans overnight
Step 2
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Step 3
Drain beans and put into bean pot
Step 4
Cut up salt pork and add to bean pot
Step 5
Add sugar
Step 6
Fill bean pot with water. Enough to cover all of the ingredients
Step 7
Cover bean pot with foil and place in oven
Step 8
Bake for 4 hours. Check every hour and stir. On final hour, remove foil and let beans boil down
Step 9
Remove from oven and let cool
