Royal Grand Marnier Banana Bread

I call it Royal, because it literally TOPS every banana bread my friends and family have ever had. It’s a very popular request in my household. And one of my secret ingredients is Grand Marnier !

Ingredients
10 servings
3bananas
very ripe, medium/large
½ cupunsalted butter
at room temperature
¼ cupgranulated sugar
½ cuplight brown sugar
½ cupdark brown sugar
2eggs
large, lightly beaten
1 ½ cupsall-purpose flour
1 tspbaking soda
1 tspallspice
½ tspsalt
1 TBSwhole milk
1 Tbsgrand marnier
1 cupwalnuts
pan roasted in a smidge of butter and grand marnier
½ cupraisins
or Craisins pre-soaked in Grand Marnier, 30-40 mins, or overnight is best
½ tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a bread loaf pan (9.25 long x 5.25 wide x 2.75 deep). or a glass 8x8 Lightly roast walnuts on a skillet, with a little Grand Marnier & Butter, continuously stirring so they won’t burn. Coarsely chop and cool to room temperature.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, cream together 8 Tbsp softened butter, brown sugars, white granulated sugar, Grand Marnier, vanilla extract and 1 Tbs Milk (This is the batter)
Step 3
Mash bananas with a fork until the consistency of chunky applesauce and add them to the batter along with 2 eggs, mixing until blended.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, whisk together: 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp Allspice and 1/2 tsp of salt then add to batter.
Step 5
Mix in chopped walnuts and soaked raisins. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
Topping
Step 6
Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp Allspice, 1/2 tsp Cinnamon & 2 tsp of Grand Marnier. Once mixed well, sprinkle on top of batter in pan.
Step 7
Bake at 350˚F for 55-60 min or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let banana bread rest for 10 min before transferring to a wire rack to cool. or in a glass 8x8 - cook for 35-40 min
NOTES / Lessons Learned:

Things i've learned, from things i've tried. Do NOT freeze bananas unless they still have the peeling ON. Also, do NOT used crushed pineapple. It will turn out way too wet!
