Instructions
Step 1
Slice your onion into think slices.
Step 2
In a bowl, add rice flour, paprika, turmeric, ginger and whisk everything together.
Step 3
Add cold water little by little and keep whisking everything until smooth (you don’t want the batter to be too liquid so adjust water accordingly).
Step 4
Add your onion slices in and mix everything together.
Step 5
Heat a pot of sunflower oil to 170C/350F.
Step 6
Spoon in small portions of the onion mixture and fry for about a couple of mins each side (make sure you don’t fry them too much otherwise they’ll become hard).
Step 7
Place your fritters onto some paper towel and immediately season with some salt on top.
Step 8
For the dipping sauce, add cucumber, mint, lime juice, yogurt and salt into a blender and mix everything until creamy.
