Instructions

Step 1
Peel, core and slice apples and transfer to baking dish.
Step 2
Add lemon juice, coconut sugar, cinnamon, ginger slices, cloves, maple syrup and vanilla extract and mix well to combine.
Step 3
Top apple mixture with cubed butter and add a pinch of sea salt.
Step 4
Bake at 375 F / 190 C for 40 minutes until apples are golden brown and bubbly.
Step 5
Remove from oven and let it stand for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Serve with ice cream and fresh thyme.
