Protein chocolate spread
4 steps
Prep:10minCook:10min
Rip off of a protein nutella recipe I saw - just with Macadamia nuts. They are so fatty so you can really use a lit if add ins without ruing the consistency of your nut butter.
I didn’t have a photo of my own so this is borrowed from Ambitious Kitchen

Instructions
Step 1
Roast the nuts in the oven on 200°C for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2
Make a nut butter with ONLY the macadamia nuts by blending them in a high speed blender or food processor. This works best if you give the nuts time to cool down (the heat from the nuts creates steam, which creates condensation, which can curdle the nut butter).
Step 3
Once you reach a runny consistency- add the cacao powder and protein tablespoon by tablespoon.
Depending on the brand of protein you use, you can add more or less protein powder before it starts to get grainy. Adding the rest of the ingredients one tablespoon at a time is key for a good consistency.
Step 4
Add salt and cardamom to taste.
