I have to acknowledge Erin at wellplated.com for the flavor profiles and the sauce. Based on a Stirfry Cabbage recipe, I created this yummy, healthy skillet.

Ingredients

Sauce
Seasoning
5cloves garlic
minced
2 tablespoonsginger
finely minced
¼ tspred pepper flake
for a less spicy version use black pepper
¼ teaspoonground cloves
1 headcauliflower
broken into small florets, save stems for another use
4carrots
sliced
1onion
diced
1 lbground turkey
or you may use ground beef, ground chicken or ground pork
2 tablespoonssoy sauce
1 tablespoonolive oil
1 cupbrown rice
uncooked
Instructions
Step 1
Make the seasoning blend and place in a small bowl.
Step 2
Make the sauce and place in a small bowl
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Add the sliced carrots and cauliflower florets and cook for 10 minutes over medium high heat.
Step 5
When the vegetables have started to caramelize, add a scant amount of water to barely cover the bottom of the pan and place a lid on the skillet, letting it cook for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Add the diced onions and the ground turkey to the skillet. Add an additional two tablespoons of soy sauce and stir well, breaking up the ground turkey into small pieces. Replace the lid of the skillet and let cook another 10 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the lid from the skillet and stir well, mixing in the seasonings.
Step 8
After well mixed, let cook with the cover for 5 minutes.
Step 9
Add the sauce and stir well. Replace the lid and turn off the heat.
