Banana egg yolk omelette — Boob to Food
Age: This is appropriate from 6 months once you have introduced egg yolk.
----- ##### ------
Nutritiously dense and delicious, easy to pick up and soft to eat.
Coconut oil is high in lauric acid which is immune fighting and also has a high smoke point which makes it the best oil to fry with without releasing toxic fumes and harmful free radicals (ghee is also great).
I also added nut butter (which is optional) to increase the healthy fats (which will help the body absorb the fat soluble nutrients) and the nut butter is a great source of protein and calcium!
If interested in more information about the benefits of eggs and why I only give the yolk until 10-11 months see my egg post. f your baby is eating egg whites you can make this recipe with whole eggs.
To reduce waste I add the egg whites to my eggs and make myself scrambled eggs or an omelette for breakfast or can add to smoothies!
