Beef Pot Roast

One of my favorite dishes to make is a classic pot roast, where the beef is shredded and super moist. There is nothing better in my mind than shredded meat. I also love that this is a budget friendly dish. The beef used for pot roasts is fairly inexpensive and can be under $20 for 6 portions of food!
A pot roast is a classic comfort food that's perfect for warming you up on a cold day and will be perfect for this holiday season. It's made by braising a tough cut of beef, such as chuck or round, along with vegetables and broth in a large pot or Dutch oven.
The result is a tender, flavorful dish that's sure to become a staple in your home cooking repertoire. The beef is typically cooked to the point where it can easily be pulled apart with a fork, and it's often served with the vegetables and broth from the pot.
Pot roast is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. You can serve it with mashed potatoes, gravy, or your favorite steamed vegetables for a hearty meal. You can also slice the beef and serve it on sandwiches the next day for an easy and delicious lunch.
If you want to learn more about braising and perfecting tough cuts of meat, check out my book The Basics of Cooking! In my book you will become an expert at the fundamentals of cooking; braising, roasting, stewing, sauteing, grilling and frying! It also makes for a perfect gift this holiday season!
