This makes a delicious, garlicky hummus that our family loves. It makes about three cups: nine 1/3 c. servings (enough for a loaf of pita) or six 1/2 c. servings.

Instructions

Step 1
Place garlic, salt, sesame oil and lemon juice in jar of blender.
Step 2
Drain one can of chickpeas and add chickpeas only to blender; discard liquid. Drain the second can and reserve the liquid; add chickpeas to blender.
Step 3
Blend at high speed, scraping down sides of blender jar, until a smooth, paste-like consistency is attained. Add only enough of the reserved chickpea liquid to blender jar, about 2 T. at a time, to aid in obtaining the right consistency.
Step 4
Serve in shallow bowls at room temperature. Top each bowl with drizzles of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika. Serve with warm pita bread wedges.
