Stuffed French Toast

Thick slices of sweet, egg-soaked bread cooked until golden and stuffed with a sweet cream cheese filling. Perfect for a lazy Saturday morning or Sunday brunch!

Instructions

Step 1
Mix the milk, brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, cinnamon, eggs together, set aside (this is the egg mixture)
Step 2
With a hand mixer, mix together the cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bread
Step 3
add anything you want on top of the cream cheese (or mix in to the cream cheese mixture first) Ideas: strawberries/berries, jam, honey, bananas, chocolate chips, Nutella
Step 4
Add 2nd piece of bread on top of stuffing, then dunk the whole sandwich in the egg mixture. Add 2 tbsp butter to a large sautée pan and cook the sandwich like French toast. Cook both sides
Step 5
Top with powdered sugar and/or extra berries, bananas , syrup, honey
