Instructions

Step 1
Put dry rice in a bowl. With about a cup of water, rinse rice and let sit for 1-2 minutes at a time. Repeat 2-3 times until water runs clean.
Step 2
Add cleaned rice and ¾ cup water to pot. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix until completely dissolved. Set aside. Mix again as needed if solids sit at the bottom of the bowl.
Step 4
Set rice onto stove on medium heat and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid and turn heat to low. About 15 minutes or until water is gone.
Step 5
While rice is still warm, take rice vinegar solution and spread over rice. Using a spoon/spatula (something that won't stick to the rice) cut into the rice to mix. DO NOT STIR/MIX.
Step 6
Let rice sit and cool before desired use.
