A super easy recipe that can be pre-made and be a fast breakfast for the family! Everyone including my 3 yr old loves it!

Step 1
Bake or air fry tater tots while you prepare the other ingredients. Prepare the tots according to the bag. If you use an air fryer pre heat oven to 375°f. If you use the oven change the temperature to 375 after the tots are cooked. * If pre making let tots cool completely before layering

In a large deep skillet fully cook sausage into small crumbles.

Once fully cooked turn heat to medium and add in 1/2 a cup of all purpose flour. Stir and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until lightly brown.

Stir in 3 cups of milk. Stir frequently until it begins to thicken. You can add another cup of milk if it begins to thicken too much or thickens alot with in 5 minutes. Turn burner to low/medium and simmer for about 10 minutes to remove the flour taste. Stirring often to make sure it doesnt burn. Stir in 2 tbs of pepper and salt. Set to the side when done. * If pre making let gravy cool before layering

Whisk together the 6 eggs, 1 tbs of salt and pepper, 1 tsp of garlic and onion powder in a separate bowl.

Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Layer your ingredients. Order of the layers- 1/2 of the tater tots, 1 cup of each cheese, a thick layer of sausage gravy, the egg mixture (if it looks too full while adding the egg mixture you can cut back on the amount), the rest of the tots, finish with the rest of the cheese. Save the rest of the gravy for the end. * If pre making store the extra gravy separately and re heat on the stove and add some milk to thin it back out. This is when you can wrap it up and put it in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the eggs are fully cooked. * Cooking time may vary. * If pre made and you are using a glass dish please make sure you let it sit out for 15-20 minutes so the glass comes to room temperature. This will help prevent the glass from shattering! Cooking time will be closer to 45 minutes!

Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes to set. Cut into 8 pieces and serve topped with extra gravy! Salt and pepper to taste.
