This came out so delicious and this is the one that my man said tasted better than his moms!!! 😝 This is not traditional roti it’s more of a flatbread or a Naan I used yogurt so it’s not as flaky

Ingredients
5 servings
Green Seasoning (chicken marinade)
1 bunchcilantro
1 cupScallion
diced
10Garlic cloves
10 sprigsfresh thyme
1green bell pepper
diced
0.5red bell pepper
diced
1scotch bonnet pepper
or habanero
2 tspsalt
4 cupextra Virgin olive oil
Chicken
0.5 lbdrum stick and chicken thighs
can use both together or choose one or the other
1 Tbspturmeric
2 tsbpcurry
1 tspsalt
1 tsppepper
1 tspground cumin
Stew
0.5onion
diced
2 Tbspolive oil
2 Tbspminced garlic
4 Tbspcurry powder
1 Tbspgreen seasoning
½ tspgaram masala
1 tspcumin
1 tspturmeric powder
2 cupswater
2 cupspotatoes
diced
salt
to taste for liking
pepper
to taste for liking
Easy Making of (Roti, Flatbread, Naan)
Instructions
Green Seasoning
Step 1
- To make seasoning dice all ingredients into fine bite size pieces to go into blender or food processors (make sure to remove and seeds in pepper etc) blend until it turns into a nice smooth green consistency. Seasoning should smell so fragrant
Chicken
Step 2
- trim off any excess fat off meat and marinade in about 1 cup green seasoning over night if you can.
Step 3
- Season with turmeric, curry, green seasoning and cumin
Stew
Step 4
- Add in about 1/2 sliced onion and olive oil and let it fry on medium Heatfor about 2-3 mins. Or until it starts to brown
Step 5
- Then add in minced garlic, curry, green seasoning, garam masala, cumin and turmeric simmer on low to medium heat until olive oil starts separating from curry.
Step 6
- Then add in water and let mixture come to a boil, once thickened add in marinated green seasoning chicken. Allow chicken to simmer for about 15-20 minutes with lid on medium heat. Constantly stirring .
Step 7
- Add in diced potatoes and let simmer for another 10 mins or until potatoes are soft.
Step 8
- Add more water if needed and let simmer for another 10 mins to allow sauce to thicken. Don’t forget to add more salt if needed depending on your preference
Easy (flatbread, roti, or naan)
Step 9
- add in self rising flour, yogurt and salt mix with your hand and until you get a fully combined dough ball. Can add a little more yogurt if mixture isn’t mixing well enough.
Step 10
- First knead dough then let it sit for about 10-15 mins
Step 11
- Once sit roll dough out, cut a slit from the middle and roll the dough as if you were making a cone . Push the dough together and form a small hole in the middle and place dough back into a bowl to let stand again for 10-15 mins
Step 12
- Once done roll dough out as flats as possible drizzle with butter and fry on heated pan no oil just butter for about 2-3 mins on each side
