Panfried chicken dumplings

A fun meal to make with a group of people 🙂 Extremely easy, tasty and cheap dumplings! This will make roughly 40 dumplings. You can substitute chicken for pork or prawns! I like my dumpling juicy, so I'd suggest making a test dumpling and if it's dry, mix some water to the mince mixure and rest in fridge for 10 minutes

Instructions

Step 1
Besides the wonton sheets, combine all ingredients to a large ziplock bag and mix well

Once ingredients are mixed, place in fridge for 30 minutes (mince is easier to work with if cold)

Remove mince mixture from fridge and cut edge of ziplock bag (this is super clean and efficient way to make dumpling)

Place wonton sheet on hand, wet outside edges with water (did your finger in some water and use your finger as a brush)

Squeeze ziplock bag in centre of wonton sheet until desired filling is met ( use your thumb that's holding the wonton to seperate filling from ziplock bag)

Fold wontons and pinch edges to seal filling inside (get creative!)

Wonton cooking

Heat oil in frypan on medium heat
Step 8
Place dumplings in frypan, once contact to frypan wiggle around to ensure they don't stick to the pan

Cook on medium heat until you see the bottom of the wonton golden browns
Step 10
Turn the heat up high and immediately pour 70ml of water into the frypan, place a lid over frypan (liquid may vary depending on pan size. This will flash steam the wontons)

Steam for 2-3 minutes ( keep an eye on them to ensure the water doesn't evaporate and burn the wontons)
Step 12
Gently remove wontons to ensure you don't rip them (scrape underneath them if stuck to frypan)
