Step 1
For the cake, follow the box directions. Cally bakes it at 325 for 45 minutes so it doesn't get too much of a rounded top and because it's a bigger pan she don't want the outside to burn before the center is done. If she makes a 9x13 she follows the heat and time settings the box tells you to. Her pan is aluminum not glass, this makes a difference.
Step 2
Cream the butter and shortening together for about 1 minute or until it is a pale yellow color. Scrape the bowl, add the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and almond extract. Mix on the lowest setting until the powdered sugar is pretty well mixed in. If you don't you will have a powdered sugar dusting over your entire kitchen! Then turn the mixer on high for 30 seconds or so. Scrape the bowl down again and mix on high for another 30 seconds or so.
Step 3
Deborah if you use the Tupperware go 30 min at 325.
