Instructions

Step 1
Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over the meat, and stir to coat meat with the flour mixture.
Step 2
Stir in the spices: garlic, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion.
Step 3
Pour in 2 cups of beef broth. Later, add more beef broth as necessary to make sure that all meat, potatoes, and carrots are covered.
Step 4
Add diced potatoes, and thick carrot slices, stirring to blend. Check that beef broth just covers all ingredients.
Step 5
Add bay leaf.
Step 6
Cover. Cook on Low for 10-12 hours, or on High for 4-6 hours.
