I used a pound of ground beef rather than a pound and a quarter. The recipe I had used before us no longer available, so I fudged a little. No red wine, which mattered little. It took nearly 40 minutes for the vegetables to soften, twice the time in the instructions. Also I used instant potatoes for the topping; I had a roasted garlic flavor on hand already. Made those per the package and spread them on top. Thirty minutes at 425F. Beautiful. My 2qt pie dish worked perfectly. (I honestly don't know how this feeds 10. Four for sure, maybe six.)
