When reading the recipe, I thought, "I bet this would be good with Italian sausage."
I tend to make 1st time dishes according to the recipes and modify anytime thereafter. I like to taste the dishes as they are intended.
This one doesn't disappoint. Most meats would go well in this but is not missed as is.
Flavorful, comforting, and not overly filling when eaten in moderation.
Would make a beautiful side dish for a nice steak.
