I liked this a lot and will make it again. I purchased a pre-made crust from the grocery store in the refridgerated section. The crust edges burned so I need to play around a bit with the cook time. I cooked it on the longer side for a firmer pie and really liked the filling consistency.
Don't skip the hazelnut liquor and make sure to make the homemade whipped cream to go with the pie! I knew I wouldn't use much so I bought a small bottle with around 3 tbsp worth at a larger liquor store. I could definitely taste the hazelnut flavors and will make sure to include it again in the future.
My husband loved the accompanying whipped cream with the light hazelnut/maple flavor.
