Preheat oven to 180°C

Melt butter and let cool

Once cooled, mix butter and the sugars together until creamy

Add egg, yolk and vanilla and beat until light and creamy

Add flour and baking soda, besting on low speed until just combined

Mix in chocolate chips
Step 7
Scoop out mixture onto baking tray and bake for 17 minutes at 180°C. The centre should still be glossy and edges just browning when you take them out.
