Ingredients

2 tablespoonsolive oil
coat bottom, set Aura to sear mode You'll hear sizzle real quick
2 tablespoonsonion soup mix
use wooden spoon to mix and make sure ingredients don't burn Move quickly You'll see burnt bits it's awesome
1 bagbarley
paprika
to give that Cholent color, I have used smoked paprika and even added 1 cut up hot pepper a must as i can't bare to see that clear looking color it's not cholenty
frozen beef neck bones
or thawed, or meat that will be cooked all night, stew meat
10Yukon potatoes
or Idaho
2white onions
or yellow
meat broth
kosher, boxed
Instructions
Step 1
1. I add 2 tablespoons of olive oil ( coat bottom) set Aura to sear or saute mode. You'll hear sizzle real quick.

Add 2 tablespoons of onion soup mix- use wooden spoon to mix and make sure ingredients don't burn. Move quickly. You'll see burnt bits it's awesome.
Step 3
2 . Slice white or yellow onions ( my wifes recipe) place in Aura , mix around mixture. To coat you'll hear and smell that amazing onion smell and see the onions going brown . Go back to cutting board
Step 4
3. add boned or not meat, frozen( aura can handle it easy ) or thawed. Using the spoon keep moving the meat so its seared all sides . Coating with onions and mix .
Step 5
4. Cut up potatoes diced! , I've found gold Yukon hard to peel when you have meat hook hands like mine. Well worth it. Any potatoes will do.
Step 6
5. When you have finished cutting , 2 or 3 potatoes and diced , throw in to Aura . Don't wait till you finish all the potatoes as you'll miss mixing the meat, onions and onion soup mixture. Avoid burn but you'll allow potatoes to get coated and cook.
Step 7
6. Once all potatoes are diced , in Aura and fully coated. Insert Barley or beans or both.
Step 8
Usually barley will burn so add last.
Step 9
7. Using wooden spoon let barley toast, and mix everything all around. You'll see all ingredients are seared coated with this amazing mixture.
Step 10
8. Add paprika to give that Cholent color, I have used smoked paprika and even added 1 cut up hot pepper. This is a must as i can't bare to see that clear looking color it's not cholenty.

9. Once all ingredients including barley have that toasted, mixtures amber look. I add one box of glatt kosher boxed soup broth chicken or beef works will change color. Super cheap and available anywhere like it's the only kosher item you might find ..

10. Change mode to stew, you'll need 2 hours , the soup broth will cook off quick don't replace as water replacement . Unless you use 3 boxes of soup broth. Amazing flavor full proof. Or add enough water to see potatoes just stick out.
Step 13
Before shobbos to get the cholent fully cooked. - if no time to stew change mode to slow cooker. The default timer is 24 hours you can lower time. If you are fearful or want to save electricity. It won't have that fully cooked, Friday night.
