40 ouncespork shoulder
boneless and trimmed
1 tablespoonground cumin
1 tablespoonchili powder
1 teaspoonsmoked paprika
½ teaspoondried oregano
¼ teaspoongarlic powder
¼ teaspoononion powder
½ teaspoonsalt
¼ teaspoonblack pepper
½ cuporange
large, juiced
¼ cupapple cider vinegar
¼ cupwater
optional, for extra liquid if needed
For Serving:

Step 1
Combine all the spices (cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper) in a small bowl.
Step 2
Rub the spice mixture generously over the pork shoulder, coating it evenly.
Step 3
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in your slow cooker.
Step 4
Pour the orange juice and apple cider vinegar over the meat.
Step 5
Add a splash of water if your slow cooker needs more liquid.
Step 6
Cook on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork falls apart easily when shredded with two forks.
Step 7
Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard the excess fat (optional).
