Instructions

Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the pot and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Place the lamb chunks in the pot and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the diced tomatoes and tomato paste, mixing well with the lamb and onions.

Add the ground cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to coat the lamb evenly with the spices. Then Add The Peas, Beans and Bell Pepper

Pour in the water, ensuring that the lamb is fully covered. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the M'hammer simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally and add more water if needed to prevent it from drying out.

Once the lamb is cooked, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Serve the M'hammer hot, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro. It's traditionally enjoyed with crusty bread or couscous.
