Instructions
Step 1
Boil the potatoes in salted water until they are half-cooked before starting anything else
Step 2
Cook the steak and baste with butter, set on a plate to rest
Step 3
After the potatoes are done cut them in half once more and cook in the butter and beef fat until golden

At the same time boil the broccolini for 4-5 minutes
For the cream sauce

Dice the onion and garlic fine and sauté until the onion has turned translucent, set aside
Step 6
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and slice a few millimeters thick, place into the pan along with a splash of oil or butter, cook until the water has rendered
Step 7
Add the cognac and let the alcohol boil off
Step 8
Add the onion, garlic, heavy cream and bullion cube, let simmer for a few minutes
Step 9
Plate as shown
