Instructions

Brown butter

Step 1
Melt butter until bubbling and turning brown
Step 2
Let the butter cool down for 30min (until no longer warm to the touch)

Cookie dough

Step 3
Mix together the brown butter with the sugars (brown and white)
Step 4
Add the egg
Step 5
Stir in the dry ingredients (flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt)

Add chopped pecan nuts and chocolate pieces
Step 7
Refrigerate the dough for at least 30min
Step 8
15 minutes before dough has finished chilling, preheat oven to 180°C
Step 9
Scoop out cookie balls onto baking sheet
Step 10
Bake at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes
Step 11
Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely
