Base Dough
193 gramsbutter
melted
278 gramslight brown sugar
170 gramsgranulated sugar
1egg
1egg yolk
5mlvanilla
272 gramsflour
1 tspsalt
¾ tspbaking soda

Chocolate Chip or Chocolate Candy

Instructions
Step 1
Cream together butter and sugars.
Step 2
In separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
Step 4
If using 6.5 inch skillets, divide dough into two equal parts and mix in toppings (snickerdoodle is different; see below).
Step 5
If using 13 inch skillet, double topping amount and mix in toppings.
Step 6
SNICKERDOODLE ONLY: Mix cinnamon and sugar together. Roll dough into a ball and roll dough in cinnamon sugar. After it is placed in skillet, sprinkle a little more cinnamon sugar on top.
Step 7
Spread dough to the edge of the skillet and chill for at least 2 hours.
Step 8
Bake for 30-40 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the middle and remove. If it is clean when removed, it is done.
Step 9
Let cool for 10-15 minutes.
