Instructions

Preheat oven 350 degrees
Step 2
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt

In a mixing bowl, beat butter at low speed for 3-5 minutes
Step 4
In the same mixing bowl as your butter, add your sugar and continue beating until desired soft and fluffy texture is evident

In the same mixing bowl as sugar and butter, add in your egg and vanilla extract. Continue beating until blended. Then, add in a little at a time, your separate bowl of flour, baking soda, and salt

Your dough is ready if small amounts can be pressed between your fingers and stick together without crumbling. If your dough crumbles, add in 1 tsp of milk and then knead dough on flat surface with hands until desired dough consistency is reached

Roll 1 inch balls of your dough in your hands, then roll them in the 1/3 cup of colored sugar so that the entire outside is coated then add them onto your baking sheet an inch or so apart from one another
Step 8
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until desired puff is met
Step 9
Let cookies cool for 5 minutes before adding kisses. Do not disturb cookies for 15 minutes even if the chocolate is melting.
