Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat.
Step 2
Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
Step 3
In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and food coloring until the batter is nice and smooth.
Step 4
Add batter to a squeeze bottle or to a piping bag with a round tip.
Step 5
Once the oil has reached 375 degrees, swirl batter in a circular and then zig zag shape into the oil and fry.
Step 6
Using tongs, flip the funnel cake to allow it to cook on the other side.
Step 7
Remove from the oil on to a paper towel lined plate and cover with powdered sugar. Add vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, cream cheese drizzle, chocolate syrup and pecans.
