Instructions
Step 1
Wash and trim your green beans
Step 2
Boil your green beans for 3 minutes then drain then and set in a colander with ice

In a skillet over medium high heat, begin melting butter and bacon grease
Step 4
Chip your onion and mushrooms and add it to the skillet. Sauté until the onions are translucent
Step 5
Add flour and coat the onions and mushrooms in the flour. Cook for a few minutes

Add chicken broth, mix. Then add half and half and whisk continuously
Step 7
Once that begins to thicken, season to taste and add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese while continuing to whisk
Step 8
Add in your green beans and stir
Step 9
Once we’ll combined, add to a greased baking dish
Step 10
Top with remaining parmesan cheese
Step 11
Bake at 385 for 15-20 minutes
Step 12
Optional: add crispy onions to the top half way through baking
