Steak n' Shake Copycat Chili

Ingredients

3 x 16 ozlight red kidney beans
cans, drained and rinsed
0.5 lbchuck
chopped
1 lbground chuck
1.75 ozall-purpose flour
Cornstarch Mix
Seasoning:
Instructions
Step 1
Chop chuck. Brown over medium heat in large pot with the ground chuck until browned
Step 2
Use scale for flour (set aside) and cornstarch. Make cornstarch mix by stirring together 8cups water and cornstarch.
Step 3
Measure and stir together all seasonings in small bowl. Pause this step if meat browns faster.
Step 4
Add flour. Stir. Do not drain. Cook 1 minute.
Step 5
Add cornstarch water mixture. Add seasonings and stir well.
Step 6
Medium heat. Allow chili to bubble, then turn heat to low and simmer meat for 90 minutes.
Step 7
Drain and rinse light red kidney beans. Add to chili and cook at same temp for 30 minutes, until fully cooked!
