Cherry-Berry Pie
Just because its winter doesn't mean you can't enjoy your favorite summer pies. Here is a Cherry-Berry Pie that I made using frozen cherries and black raspberries. I finished it off with a lattice top crust. Beautiful AND delicious!

Instructions
Step 1
Mix fruit, sugar, tapioca, lemon juice, and almond extract together and let sit for 15-20 minutes to let tapioca soften.
Step 2
Prepare pastry for a 2-crust pie. Roll out and form the bottom shell. Roll out the top crust and score to form lattice strips.
Step 3
Spoon fruit filling into the bottom crust. Form the lattice crust top by alternating pastry strips.
Step 4
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbling. Allow to cool before serving.
